DAVID KHAYAT, a French physician and scientific publicist, receives the Masi International Wine Culture Prize for having made an important contribution, through his authority as an oncologist, to the promotion of a balanced and culturally-aware approach to food and wine, taking into account not only physical factors but also psychological ones, and aspects of general and spiritual well-being that have always been linked to food and drink.

THE HISTORY OF THE AWARD

The awards began in 1981 with the Masi Civiltà Veneta Prize, given to personalities who had their origins in the Venetian territories or with venetian family or venetian by adoption, and who had distinguished themselves in the fields of literature, art, journalism, science, the performing arts and business.
