“The courage of responsability”is the central theme of the 45th edition that highlights the fundamental connection between the courage to face the dramatic challenges of present times – with all the risks, including the personal, that this entails – and our responsibility towards all human beings and towards our planet. This year’s Prize winners each display a virtuous combination of individual initiative and concern for the community in their respective fields.
The Awards Ceremony
On Friday, October 16, 2026 , the awards ceremony will start with the signing of the Amarone barrel, the symbol of the Prize, at the historic Masi cellars and will continue at the new Monteleone21 multipurpose complex in Gargagnago di Valpolicella.

THE HISTORY OF THE AWARD
The awards began in 1981 with the Masi Civiltà Veneta Prize, given to personalities who had their origins in the Venetian territories or with venetian family or venetian by adoption, and who had distinguished themselves in the fields of literature, art, journalism, science, the performing arts and business.
