After the fortieth anniversary of the Masi Prize, which was marked in 2021, this year the celebrations are no less important, with two events that come together in the name of Venetian civilisation: the Masi Prize, which has always sought to enhance and spread awareness worldwide of the renewal of the Venetian area’s excellence and the 250th harvest by the Boscaini family in Vaio dei Masi, an occasion that recalls and consolidates the bond with the territory and with the Venetian civilisation which underpins the entrepreneurial history of Masi Agricola.

To mark the occasion, the Foundation’s Board has decided to exceptionally combine the Civiltà Veneta Prize and the International Civiltà del Vino Prize into the Grosso d’Oro Veneziano, meaning that today it is time to honour the emblems of both Veneto Civilisation and the Culture of Wine with our top award.

This extraordinary edition of the 2022 Masi Prize in fact sees just two awards given with the International Grosso d’Oro Veneziano prize: to the Procuratoria of St Mark’s Basilica in Venice, for its contribution towards preserving the values of the Venetian civilisation and to the Great Wine Capital Global Network for its current, essential contribution to the civilisation of wine.
